Why We Built This
When managing to a fixed budget for the month, it's difficult to pace spend for many reasons. For one, Amazon has a rule that allows spend to exceed budget by 25% or 100% of a given daily budget amount.
This causes fluctuations of spend for certain days of the week and during promotional event periods outside of normal variation of campaign spend.
The task for the advertising manager is to ensure the account spends as close to the budget as possible but it's hard to know how much to adjust the daily spend pacing in order to do so. Many Amazon ad managers battle the following every month:
Overspending early in the month and running out of budget
Underutilizing available budget due to inconsistent pacing
Adapting daily pacing for seasonal trends, promotions, and special events
Adjusting daily spend to the proper amounts in order to hit budget
