How far back will my data go upon activation? Can I upload more data?

I just activated a new seller or vendor; how far back will the data go for advertising and retail data?

Amazon has various lookback windows and availability depending on the merchant type (seller or vendor) and data set.

Advertising Data

All advertising data is limited to a 60 day lookback window currently. See the note below about how that might change in the near future.

Seller & Vendor:

All Ad data: 60 Days

Retail Data

Retail data is a bit more flexible. Here are the current lookback windows for the retail data:

Seller:

Orders: 24 Months

Business Reports by Date: 24 Months

Business Reports by SKU: 13 Months

Inventory: Day of activation and forward

Vendor:

Sales: 24 Months

Traffic: 13 Months

Inventory: 13 Months

Net Pure Product Margin: 13 Months

Demand Forecast: Day of activation forward

Can I backfill my own advertising data via an upload or otherwise if I want to?

Unfortunately, no. Amazon makes backfilling virtually impossible. There are a few reasons, namely because Amazon doesn't give us that data in the API.

Historically, advertising has been limited to 60 days of lookback data upon activation. We have heard that Amazon is going to extend this lookback to ~13 months sometime in 2024 or 2025 so to be continued on that front. In the meantime:

With that said, as soon as you start with MixShift, we begin storing your historical data so you will have a longer and longer lookback as time goes on.
